Giving Back: Supporting the Next Generation of Entrpreneurs

This season, we’re proud to partner with Tosa East High School’s Tech Ed Department and their Entrepreneurship Class. The students have created fabulously handcrafted wooden ornaments that bring a selection of our designs to life. Every ornament you purchase, directly supports these talented students and their incredible program, with all proceeds going right back to the students.

Students in this class aren’t just learning—they’re gaining practical experience by crafting goods for real customers and applying foundational business principles. These hands-on lessons build skills that empower students and will benefit them long after high school.

When I had the chance to visit their classroom and workshop, I was blown away. The energy, creativity, and dedication in that space were inspiring. Their teacher, Craig Griffe, is an extraordinary mentor, guiding students through this hands-on learning journey. Meeting a student at a recent farmers market who proudly shared that she helped make the ornaments was a highlight for me. Seeing her parent’s pride and hearing about her experience reminded me why this collaboration is so impactful.

As many of you know, I was a teacher before starting Giltee, and education has always been close to my heart. Supporting students and incredible teachers like Mr. Griffe is part of who we are.
